- Version
- 1.1
1. General principles
GATHWAY INC. (“GATHWAY”, “we”, “us”), a Canadian corporation, operates The Insight Docket (“Platform”) at theinsightdocket.com. Contact: legal@gathway.app; privacy@gathway.app for privacy requests. Registered office: 230-7737 Lundy’s Lane, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
Advertising helps support The Insight Docket, but paid placements must be clearly identified and must not control independent editorial decisions. The Platform may offer display advertisements, sponsorships and clearly labelled paid partnerships subject to review.
2. Labels and presentation
Paid placements must be conspicuously labelled “Advertisement”, “Sponsored” or another unambiguous descriptor understandable in context. Sponsored articles or series should state the sponsor and material relationship before users engage. Advertiser-provided content cannot be disguised as independent reporting.
3. Advertiser eligibility
GATHWAY may reject or remove ads that are deceptive, unlawful, discriminatory, fraudulent, infringing, malicious or inconsistent with platform safety or editorial integrity. Claims involving financial, health or legal services, political campaigns, employment or other regulated categories require heightened legal and factual review.
4. Separation from editorial control
Advertisers may not purchase favourable news coverage, editorial silence, fabricated endorsements, contributor verification status or preferential correction outcomes. Any permissible sponsored editorial project requires separate editorial standards and transparent disclosures.
5. Targeting, tracking and user privacy
Advertising personalization, tracking technologies, cookies and disclosures must comply with the Privacy Policy and applicable consent requirements. Sensitive identity-verification documents or unpublished manuscripts are not made available to advertisers. We will document advertising technology partners before release. Personalized advertising and advertising profiling are not used for registered readers aged 16 or 17. Optional advertising technologies are activated only as described in the Cookie Notice, after affirmative opt-in consent where consent is required.
6. Revenue attribution and contributor sharing
Advertising revenue attributable to a qualifying published work may be included in the Contributor Monetization and Earnings Program only as defined in that policy. Contributors do not automatically own ad inventory or negotiate ad contracts on behalf of GATHWAY. Ad revenue attributable to a publication before activation does not attract a retroactive share.
7. Advertising agreements and refunds
Rates, campaign dates, placements, cancellations, reporting and remedies are agreed in advertiser-specific contracts. Nothing in this general Policy commits GATHWAY to an ad rate, inventory level, reach guarantee or advertiser refund formula.
8. Complaints and enforcement
Users can report ads at legal@gathway.app or another approved reporting route. GATHWAY may suspend campaigns, require corrections or terminate arrangements after reasonable review; statutory obligations and advertising standards override contrary commercial requests.
